We offer moderate IV (parenteral) sedation under medical supervision. You remain responsive and breathe on your own, but feel deeply relaxed and may remember little of the visit. It’s a good option for oral surgery, multiple procedures in one appointment, or full-mouth reconstruction. We’ll review your medical history, monitor you throughout, and you’ll need a responsible adult to drive you home.
Moderate Parenteral Sedation (IV Sedation)
At Family Smile Centers, moderate IV sedation is administered in collaboration with our in-house oral surgery team. This form of sedation delivers medication directly into the bloodstream, allowing for rapid onset and careful, real-time dosage adjustment during your procedure.
Patients remain conscious but deeply relaxed and often report little to no memory of the treatment afterward. This makes it a particularly effective option for individuals undergoing longer procedures or who experience significant dental anxiety.
