A Tradition of Care, A Vision for the Future
Since opening our doors in 1969, Family Smile Centers in St. Charles County has stood as a reliable partner in oral health for generations of local families. What began as a small, community-rooted practice has become a progressive group model built around convenience, expertise, and full-service care. Under the leadership of Dr. Robert Weldon Thompson II, our team continues to evolve with modern dentistry while honoring the strong relationships we’ve built with our patients. With future expansion plans that include a dedicated on-site lab and collaboration with highly trained specialists, we’re setting a new standard for dental care that is both accessible and advanced.

What Sets Us Apart
At Family Smile Centers, we combine modern tools with compassionate care to deliver a superior patient experience. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, we focus on convenience, comfort, and clinical excellence.
Our practice features the latest dental technology, including:
- 3D CBCT imaging for detailed diagnostics
- iTero scanning for accurate impressions and orthodontic planning
- CEREC for same-day crowns and restorations
- DEKA dental lasers for minimally invasive soft tissue treatment
We believe in making dental care seamless for busy families. With early morning hours (7 AM – 6 PM Monday through Thursday, and until 2 PM on Friday), in-house services, and collaborative treatment planning, we remove barriers to care and make your visit as efficient as possible.
A Community Legacy
For more than six decades, we’ve been proud to serve St. Charles County and the surrounding area, caring for generations of families who have trusted us with their oral health. Many of our patients first came to us as children and now return with families of their own — a tradition that speaks to the relationships we’ve built and the trust we’ve earned.
Being part of this community means more than providing dental care. From local outreach and school programs to in-office events, we’re honored to stay connected and give back to the people who have supported us for so many years. We are committed to continuing this legacy with the same compassion and dedication that has defined our practice from the start.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to expand our footprint with new technology, innovative services, and fresh opportunities to improve lives — one smile at a time.
